Mother died in April 2002 in Salem, Oregon by the hands of the people who are in their offices, advocating that they protect the elderly.
In our case, at the local nursing home for 19 days, I had called the Senior Services Office and talked with a Adult Protective Worker about our mother being starved to her death, but this nurse told me that they would not check on our mother being starved to her death. This call to them was on April 5, 2002 before we had to take her out on April 10, 2002 so that she could NOW die at my home.
Mother's life was compromised when she entered the nursing home on March 21, 2002. Loveda Powell was at our local hospital for a urinary Tract Infection, so we were told and the discharge date was March 21, 2002.
We knew that she had to have 24/7 medical attention after this hospital stay, so we placed her in the nursing home.
We expected out mother to come back to our home, not to be killed in 19 days, but that is exacting what the State of Oregon got away with so far since mother died.
We have a 7 years Statue on Elder care Abuse.
We tried to get the 2 year Statue (personal injury), the 3 year Statue (medical malpractice)and now we are forced into this 7 year Statue, because there was not one lawyer who would help our case.
They all turned their backs on us!
Why is that folks, any ideas? |
